Plant Biodiversity in Mediterranean and Forest Ecosystems.
Research interests
• Monitoring, assessment, protection and conservation of plant biodiversity in Mediterranean and forest ecosystems.
• Plant ecology and structure/composition of plant communities and habitat types.
• Effects of environmental and anthropogenic factors on plant biodiversity.
• Biodiversity metrics/indices and plant indicator species for assessing ecological status and habitat quality.
• Field-based research on endemic, threatened and nationally important plant species of Greece.
• Knowledge dissemination, outreach and biodiversity awareness-raising across primary, secondary and higher education.
